CSU Youth Dance Conservatory

Join us for the Columbus State University Youth Dance Conservatory Open House! Columbus State University’s Youth Dance Conservatory (YDC) exists to provide a space for classical ballet education in the Columbus, Georgia area. Using fundamental ballet technique as the core of our training, we strive to create a fun, challenging, and encouraging environment for our students that strengthens the body, sharpens the mind, and creates a lifelong passion for the art of ballet

Our Open House will give you the opportunity to visit the YDC's beautiful, historic facility located inside the Rankin Arts Center and to find out how your child can be part of the Columbus Ballet's production of The Nutcracker.  Your child will be able to be assessed for placement in the level that will best compliment their ballet skills and dancewear will be available for purchase! The YDC Directors and Instructors will be on hand to answer your questions and facilitate registration. A 10% registration discount is available for tuition paid in full for the 2019-2020 school year.

The CSU Youth Dance Conservatory’s mission is to prepare young students for futures as dancers, engaged citizens, audience members, and responsible young men and women. We offer a year-around program taught by a dedicated staff of instructors who take great care to instruct students with proper technique and great discipline in an encouraging and nurturing environment. Our curriculum, rooted in the classical ballet tradition, offers students an opportunity to develop their technique, artistry, endurance, discipline, choreographic memory, and stage presence.

CSU Youth Dance Conservatory dancers have the opportunity to perform with The Columbus Ballet at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and participate in an End of the Year Performance with the Conservatory in the month of May. We thank you for choosing the CSU Youth Dance Conservatory as a place to continue your training.
