YDC Open House

Join the Columbus State University Youth Dance Conservatory (YDC) on August 8, 2020 for our annual Open House! The Open House will give you the opportunity to visit our beautiful, historic facility located inside The Rankin, and learn about our classes and performance opportunities. Your child will also be able to be assessed for placement in the level that will best compliment their ballet skills. Dancewear will be available for purchase from Grit & Grace Studio to Street Wear! The YDC Directors and Instructors will be on hand to answer your questions and facilitate registration. A 10% registration discount is available for tuition paid in full by Saturday, August 15, 2020, for the 2020-2021 school year.
Times to Visit:
9-10am: Current Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Pre-Level 1 Students
10-11am: New Student Registrations and Evaluations
11-12pm: Current Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Students
1-2pm: Current Level 4-6 Students

The CSU Youth Dance Conservatory’s mission is to prepare young students for futures as dancers, engaged citizens, audience members, and responsible young men and women. We offer a year-around program taught by a dedicated staff of instructors who take great care to instruct students with proper technique and great discipline in an encouraging and nurturing environment. Our curriculum, rooted in the classical ballet tradition, offers students an opportunity to develop their technique, artistry, endurance, discipline, choreographic memory, and stage presence. CSU Youth Dance Conservatory dancers have the opportunity to perform with The Columbus Ballet at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and participate in an End of the Year Performance with the Conservatory in the month of May.
